This position is available in East Brisbane, Queensland, for an experienced Electrical and Mechanical Service Technician. As a key member of the engineering department, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment.

The role involves providing technical support and maintenance for sheet metal machines, working closely with operators and technicians to understand and resolve equipment problems. You will also be responsible for implementing upgrades and modifications to improve machine performance and reliability, as well as maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic issues with sheet metal machines
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical, electrical components and control systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Implement upgrades and modifications to improve machine performance and reliability

To be successful in this role, you will require strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and documentation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, initiative, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace health and safety.

Qualifications
  • Factory trained in TRUMPF technology (Laser / Fiber)
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic and or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as an Service Technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems
