Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Leader

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Leader to provide expert advice and strategic leadership on environmental matters across our Water and Waste Services directorate.

You will play a key role in driving initiatives that ensure compliance, address emerging risks such as contaminants, climate change and emissions reduction, and deliver long-term sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on environmental management, sustainability, and emerging risks to support informed decision-making.
  • Lead compliance and risk management activities, including climate change, emissions reduction, and drought planning.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and policies to guide sustainable water and waste management practices.
  • Represent us with government, industry panels, and community stakeholders on environmental issues.
  • Design and deliver water conservation programs and engagement initiatives across the community.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in environmental management or sustainability.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
