Key Business Development Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth by acquiring new customers and building high-value client relations across Australia, New Zealand and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

Key responsibilities include generating new business acquisition, managing the end-to-end sales process, developing and delivering sales presentations, leveraging regional partners to align resources and strategies on joint opportunities, collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, product and customer success teams to create winning proposals, ensuring seamless post-sale handover, creating and growing networks via both online and face-to-face modes to build proactive relationships with key stakeholders across targeted segments.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in the B2B software sector.

Responsibilities
  • Generate new business acquisition across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process from initial outreach and qualification through to pitching, negotiation and contract closure
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations that showcase the value of technology
  • Leverage regional partners to align resources and strategies on joint opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product and customer success teams to create winning proposals
  • Create and grow networks to build proactive relationships with key stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, sales or a related role, preferably in education software sales at an enterprise level
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in the B2B software sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of digital assessment technologies and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to generate new business and work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic organisation
