Senior Structural Engineering Expert

The role entails leading complex structural investigations and analysis in various sectors, focusing on identifying damage, defects, and failures in buildings and civil engineering infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on worksites
  • Lead forensic assessments of buildings and civil structures
  • Produce thorough forensic reports with clear recommendations
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight
  • Support internal operations, staff training, quality assurance, and resource planning
  • Meet performance metrics and drive company growth
  • Nurture strong client relationships through effective communication and reliable service
  • Manage project scopes, timelines, and deliverables for efficient delivery
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to expand client networks
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus) with RPEQ and NPER accreditation
  • Proven experience in structural design and forensic analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial projects up to $20M
  • Strong capability in assessing and diagnosing structural damage
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software across platforms
  • Exceptional technical report-writing skills with clarity and actionable insights
  • Confident verbal communicator explaining complex issues to clients and team members
  • Leadership experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical oversight
  • Effective project budgeting, scheduling, and deliverable management
  • Experience maintaining compliance with health, safety, and quality standards across multiple projects
  • Proven ability to foster and manage strong client relationships
  • Involvement in business development and marketing efforts
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with a client-focused mindset
  • Flexible and composed under pressure with a collaborative spirit
