Description of the Role

The Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering outstanding customer experiences, meeting sales targets, and maintaining the highest standards of excellence.

This hands-on leadership position requires strong communication skills and a passion for retail excellence, with a focus on coaching and motivating the team to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Experience
    • Foster a customer-centric culture by supporting excellent brand presentation and customer service.
    • Address customer issues promptly and effectively, escalating when necessary.
    • Deliver engaging brand stories and maintain visual merchandising standards.
  2. Sales and Profitability
    • Support the Store Manager in achieving sales and profitability objectives.
    • Monitor sales performance and contribute ideas to improve store results.
    • Omit labour scheduling to align with sales goals.
  3. Team Leadership
    • Lead, coach, and motivate the store team to deliver high-performance results.
    • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives.
    • Maintain open communication with the Store Manager and contribute to a positive store culture.
    • Conduct regular performance feedback and support development opportunities.
  4. Operational Management
    • Oversee daily store operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, and compliance.
    • Ensure all workplace health and safety standards are upheld.
    • Complete retail compliance audits and store administration tasks.
    • Stay informed on company policies and procedures and help ensure the team adheres to them.

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with WHS requirements and completion of training.
