Business Compliance Director

This is a senior role with RACV, a leading organisation in Australia. We are seeking an experienced Governance & Compliance Manager to join our team.
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, plus benefits such as flexible working hours and access to our corporate discounts.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling executive management to identify and manage compliance risk by delivering and maintaining enterprise processes and tools, providing high-quality guidance, support, information, and insight.
About the Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, contribute to the development of effective governance frameworks, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and ensure compliance with Australian employment law, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards, WHS regulations, and state-specific legislation.
- Design, develop, and implement effective and robust P&C compliance and risk frameworks that ensure adherence with regulatory requirements, align with best practice, organisational, and operational requirements.
- Conduct internal investigations related to breaches of employment law compliance.
- Advise management on legal risks in employee relations and provide solutions to address compliance issues.
- Develop and implement strong and effective governance frameworks to ensure correct scoping, tracking, monitoring, escalation, and communication of regulatory changes is enabled.
Requirements:
- Rlevant professional qualification in Human Resources or related field.
- Compliance and Governance certification highly desirable.
- Continuous Improvement methodology certification highly desirable.
- At least 7 years' experience in an operational role that required a deep understanding and working knowledge of employment regulatory requirements and adherence.
- Strong experience in partnering with key stakeholders to design and implement People & Culture Governance, Compliance, and Risk Frameworks.
- Successful delivery of compliance risk outcomes under commercial conditions.
- Ability to liaise, influence, challenge effectively, and build relationships at all organisational levels.
- Excellent process and continuous improvement coaching skills.
- Highly refined and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, delivering high-quality outputs with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive with a positive, flexible, assertive, can-do attitude.
- Deep knowledge of process and systems across the employee life cycle.
