Family Violence Practitioner Role Overview
">Job DescriptionThis Family Violence Practitioner role is a critical position that focuses on providing intensive casework using the MARAM framework and trauma-informed approaches. The practitioner will work closely with women in prison who have experienced family violence, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the process.
">Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive risk and needs assessments, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with external services and stakeholders to enhance the safety of women experiencing family violence, both in and out of incarceration.
- Engage in ongoing consultations with practitioners, promoting capacity building and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, including mapping perpetrator behavior and its impact on victims.
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience in family violence case management and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of the MARAM framework and information sharing schemes.
- Experience working with high-risk clients and those with complex needs.
- Strong communication, advocacy, and collaboration skills.
- A current Driver's License and Police Check.
