Career OpportunitiesWe are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Spinal Life Healthy Living Centre in Cairns, Queensland.
Job DescriptionThis part-time or full-time opportunity will involve conducting thorough client assessments, recommending appropriate equipment, preparing and managing funding applications, and advocating for clients' personal support needs.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive client assessments to understand their physical needs.
- Trial and recommend suitable equipment to optimize client functionality.
- Prepare and manage funding applications for essential assistive technology and supports.
- Advocate for clients' personal support needs and assist with funding applications.
- Provide expert advice on equipment and lifestyle management, including pressure area care.
- Complete assessments for home modifications and submit detailed reports.
- Empower individuals through tailored strategies and advocate for their lifestyle choices.
- A current AHPRA registration and a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate caseloads independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proven track record of achieving high-level outcomes for clients.
- Experience working with individuals with Spinal Cord Injury or physical disabilities preferred.
- Familiarity with fee-for-service environments is advantageous.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus access to salary sacrificing options, flexible working arrangements, and ongoing career development opportunities.
