As a strategic health and safety leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving organizational success by developing and implementing effective health and safety projects aligned with our business goals.
This leadership position involves managing a team of professionals and collaborating with other operations and functional leaders to drive cultural and business transformation through the promotion of a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with operations to deliver health and safety services and achieve set objectives.
- Lead critical risk verification audits and ensure compliance with established safety standards.
- Develop and monitor health and safety management plans; provide training and support as needed.
- Promote a safety-first approach through education and awareness initiatives.
- Provide guidance and coaching on incident management and response to teams.
- Investigate and document incidents, ensuring proper reporting and analysis.
- Conduct internal safety audits and participate in external audit processes.
- Oversee health and safety training programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Translate field-level insights into practical health and safety improvements for the organization.
- Cultivate and manage a high-performing health and safety team.
- A recognized degree or certification in occupational health and safety.
- Health and Safety Auditor training course completion.
- Qualifications in incident investigation, such as ICAM.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar industry and 5 years of team management experience.
