About The Position: We are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator and Welder to maintain high quality standards in the production of structural steel frames.

Main Responsibilities:

  • We require a skilled individual to read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform tasks
  • The successful candidate will be able to ascertain correct weld types for use based on project needs
  • This role involves field installing welds, including duct work, light fixtures, vents, fans, metal sheeting and other parts
  • Coordination with field labour crew is required for efficient installations
  • The successful candidate will conserve resources whenever possible to ensure client satisfaction
  • De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture

About You:

  • A trade qualification is essential
  • At least 1 year of proven experience working in a Metal Fabricator/Welder position is required
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications is a must
  • Ability to mark up construction drawings and specifications with as-built status is also required
  • The successful candidate will manage welding work and ensure compliance to all specifications
  • Safe operation of various manual and automated welding equipment is expected
  • High level attention to detail is necessary
  • Proficiency in time management and prioritisation of tasks is also required
