Culinary Opportunities

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day culinary operation, ensuring consistency with high-quality and presentation standards.
  • Minimise waste while maintaining exceptional food quality.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of HACCP and Food Safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to establish, execute, and evaluate food service standards.
  • Address issues with managers, kitchen staff, and waiting staff.
  • Demonstrate techniques and provide advice on cooking procedures.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts over a 7-day-a-week roster, based on the event schedule.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie in a high-volume production environment.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet strict timelines while balancing scale and quality.
  • Strong team player with the capacity to work independently.
  • Proficient in Food Control Plans/HACCP principles and maintaining accurate food safety records.
  • Effective communication skills to keep the team informed of production progress.
  • Creativity and passion for food with a commitment to exceptional service.
