Compliance Oversight Director

The Australian Signals Directorate is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of EL2 Director in Canberra.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, plan and manage ASD's oversight function, including advising senior management on complex and sensitive operational matters.
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including external oversight bodies.
  • Represent ASD at relevant internal and external meetings and activities relevant to the oversight function.
  • Lead and manage a team, providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility, and guiding and developing people.

  • Contribute to the development of compliance policies and training, promoting a strong compliance culture within the organization.
  • Perform oversight of ASD's internal activities, as well as engagement with external oversight bodies, including the Inspector-General Intelligence and Security and the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security.
