Data Governance Specialist

A Data Governance Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire data governance program, ensuring that all data is accurate, reliable, and secure. The role involves developing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in data management, particularly in data governance. They will also have demonstrated expertise in leading data governance activities, such as data definitions, data quality checks, and data security.

The key responsibilities of the Data Governance Manager include:

  • Developing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards;
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity;
  • Leading data quality projects/initiatives to improve data quality through root cause analysis and data cleansing;
  • Managing the rollout of data governance framework for assigned business areas, focusing on data quality, data retention standards, and data accountability;
  • Defining and assessing business metadata through stakeholder workshops;
  • Supporting data workflows in Data Quality Tool (Data360 Analyze).
