About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Delivery Manager to lead our transformational change initiatives within the Optus consumer division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering complex business and technology programs using Agile, hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver transformational change initiatives to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Oversee initiatives that include business improvement, employee, and customer experience enhancements, as well as digital and technology projects.
  • Maintain strong project governance and collaborate closely with key stakeholders, sponsors, squad members, and business leads.
  • Articulate and represent strategically aligned team plans at the portfolio and program levels.
  • Identify and manage delivery risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support change management efforts.
  • Manage complex dependencies across the enterprise, including interactions with other programs of work.
  • Complete all required status reports punctually and to a high standard; facilitate executive program steering committees as needed.
  • Participate in, and at times facilitate, quarterly planning sessions, ceremonies, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and develop robust business cases.
  • Oversee program finances and budgets, including monthly forecasting and reporting.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to deliver medium to large-scale and complex initiatives using a variety of delivery methodologies.
  • Strong program delivery, governance, and reporting skills; proficient in MS products and digital tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience delivering in a fast-paced, customer-focused transformation environment with numerous obstacles and conflicting priorities.
  • Demonstrated success in managing medium to large complex programs in a matrix reporting structure.
  • Ability to articulate and represent plans from multiple teams to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Proven capability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders, including influencing C-suite executives to drive program outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to navigate the business landscape effectively.
  • Formal Project management and Agile certifications.
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, computer science, or a related business discipline.
