We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-time Chef to join our team at Maya Da Dhaba Restaurant in Surry Hills area.
The successful applicant will have at least two years of working experience and a Diploma in Hospitality. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and updating menus, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus in consultation with Directors and restaurant managers.
- Lead and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including recruitment and training.
- Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Prepare a variety of dishes using different cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of relevant working experience.
- Relevant qualification in Hospitality or a related field.
- Mature attitude, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
