As a Senior Air Traffic Control Project Manager, you will be part of the AIR5431 PH3 Team, which aims to integrate next-generation Air Traffic Control platforms and supporting infrastructure into a safe, secure, reliable, and scalable National Air Traffic Control management system.

Salary

We are offering a competitive salary package for this position, estimated to be around $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. This includes an additional remuneration benefit known as the Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP).

Job Description

As a Senior Air Traffic Control Project Manager, you will lead an integrated team and manage all planning, governance, risk, and reporting aspects of the Capability Life Cycle. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Influencing and developing strategies, policies, priorities, and operational practices in support of Defence objectives;
  • Fostering and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships;
  • Planning and implementing complex product schedules and budgets;
  • Preparing briefings, submissions, reports, and returns relating to project progress and issues.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in project management relating to highly complex programs;
  • Effective problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills;
  • The ability to manage and lead a diverse high-performing team;
  • The capacity to think strategically and develop plans and processes to enhance the achievement of business outcomes;
  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills;
  • High-level organisational skills, self-drive, and initiative with the ability to influence others to achieve tasks and business objectives;
  • Sound commercial and business acumen and a demonstrated understanding of the Defence Industry sector in Australia.
