Job Opportunity
As a Medical Disputes Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing medical disputes, focusing on crucial aspects like causation and threshold injury. Your responsibility will be to ensure compliance with legislation and internal KPIs, driving outcomes that matter.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and evaluate individual development needs.
- Deliver learning and development programs.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and allocate resources for effective outcomes.
- Negotiate terms with external providers and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure attention to risk and governance.
- More than 5+ years' demonstrated experience in a similar medical disputes or injury management specialists role, working within a fast-paced environment.
- Sound medical knowledge (with a background in medical science, physiotherapy, chiropractic, allied health, or rehabilitation being advantageous).
- Training and experience in assessing Whole Person Impairment (WPI) in accordance with AMA 4 and the Psychiatric Impairment Rating Scale (PIRS).
- Experience managing internal and external medical disputes, including drafting applications and submissions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
