About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team that provides quality, sustainable and flexible services to individuals with disabilities.

We are seeking Male Disability Support Workers in the Broadmeadows area and surrounding suburbs to provide support to adolescent and young participants with ADHD and ASD.

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Providing in-home support, meal preparation, prompting, companionship, transportation, and daily living assistance to clients
  • Assisting clients to access the community and social programs, such as medical appointments, shopping, and social outings
  • Maintaining confidentiality and privacy of clients
  • Recording individual's and service records in an objective manner

This role requires a reliable and responsible attitude towards work, with a commitment to regular hours. You will need to possess relevant qualifications and certifications, including a Certificate or currently studying IV/III in Disability, Ageing Support, or Individual Support, Current First Aid and CPR certification, and A current Working with Children Check (WWCC).

What We Offer

By joining us, you will have the opportunity to gain ongoing shifts with possibility for a set part-time/full-time roster, and potential hourly rate increases every 3-6 months.

Your Skills and Qualifications
  • A Certificate or currently studying IV/III in Disability, Ageing Support, or Individual Support
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A reliable and responsible attitude towards work, with a commitment to regular hours
  • A current driver's license and access to a vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • The ability to complete both NDIS Orientation Module and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Evidence of eligibility to work within Australia
