Job Overview

As a skilled and motivated accounting professional, we are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to oversee the accurate and timely financial record-keeping for our clients.

The Role:

This senior-level position requires a dedicated and results-driven individual who will be responsible for leading a team of bookkeeping professionals, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of bookkeepers providing guidance, support, and training as needed
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation
  • Review and verify bookkeeping entries identifying errors and resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to address financial queries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Assist in the preparation of client financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role with demonstrable experience in team leadership or supervisory capacity
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, practices, and regulations
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and tools such as Xero, MYOB, Hubdoc, Dext, XPM, FYI Docs, and other add-on solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work within established deadlines
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Relevant qualification in bookkeeping certificate 4 or higher
  • Membership in a reputable bookkeeping association such as the ICB
