Sourcing Operations Manager

A prominent player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, particularly in the food and beverage industry, is seeking a Procurement Strategy Lead to enhance their sourcing operations.
Role Overview
This is a pivotal non-management role focused on overseeing procurement functions across Australia, specifically for food and beverage products.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage relationships with both local and international suppliers Execute strategic sourcing initiatives for raw materials along with a limited scope of indirect procurement Ensure a consistent supply chain while maintaining high standards of quality, value, and innovation Participate actively in new product development (NPD) projects Conduct thorough analyses of market trends and industry demands Foster and sustain robust partnerships with suppliers Oversee the implementation of supplier contract management Facilitate tender processes Assess potential risks, capacity limitations, and contingency strategies Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and broader supply chain teams
This position offers flexibility with hybrid working arrangements.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background as a Procurement Specialist, Category Manager, or Sourcing Manager, showcasing the following qualifications:
Exceptional skills in stakeholder management and relationship development Proven experience in sourcing new suppliers A solid background in the FMCG sector, particularly within the food industry
