About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Atlassian. As a key member of our procurement group, you will play a critical role in establishing strategic relationships with our providers and delivering best-in-class procurement services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and lead transformational sourcing projects, following a standard strategic sourcing methodology to maximize Atlassian's value.
  • Personally lead projects, serving as the primary liaison between Engineering, Legal, Finance, and other teams in the end-to-end strategic sourcing process.
  • Establish relationships across teams to ensure active and early participation in supplier-related matters.
  • Provide rigorous analysis of spend data and industry dynamics to identify and launch sourcing projects.
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiencies and maximize spend opportunity.
  • Contribute to implementation and change management of process improvement projects across Atlassian.
  • Mentor partners on procurement practices.
  • Lead the planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of strategic sourcing experience.
  • Broad knowledge of sourcing software, hardware, and services for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in sourcing, negotiating, and delivery of complex contracts, with an emphasis on technology-related services.
  • Capabilities to understand, translate, and refine business cases for successful sourcing/vendor relationships.
  • Experienced negotiation skills in both financial and business matters.
  • Ability to present technical issues, ideas, and recommendations in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
  • Teamwork-oriented.
  • Experience working globally, working with partners, team members, and suppliers.
