Job Title: Supply Chain Coordinator

The role of the Supply Chain Coordinator is to manage material purchases using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) principles. This involves ensuring product availability meets business requirements by reviewing operational consumable cost improvement opportunities across manufacturing facilities.

The incumbent will ensure a consistent flow of materials into the plant, maximizing the opportunities presented by lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate master data for MRP controller responsible (safety stocks, lead time, lot size procedure, and lot size)
  • Collaborate with procurement to review opportunities to reduce supply disruption, lead time, and lot size
  • Raise purchase orders/stock transfer orders based on SAP required date and confirm them based on supplier feedback while engaging in problem-solving related to service level for production planners and first-line managers
  • Maintain correct delivery dates on all open orders
  • Work closely with the market team to ensure an agreed understanding of demand, including priorities, timelines, and customer requirements
  • Report on reasons for On-Time-In-Full failures for purchased finished goods and provide input to Sales and Operations Planning meetings
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations into the causes of materials being late or in excess inventory
  • Maintain a development plan
  • Adhere to standard work – daily, monthly, and quarterly activities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain management or an equivalent field
  • Previous experience in SAP, ERP skills, and Microsoft Office suite preferred
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • APICS certification preferred
