We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Operations Officer to join our team at Launceston Airport. As an Airport Operations Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and secure operation of the airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aviation Safety: Conduct daily safety inspections of the airport facilities, including airfield lighting and obstacle limitation surfaces, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Security Management: Monitor and manage security across the airport complex, including the terminal, apron, and passenger flows.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in the development and implementation of the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP) and respond to emergency situations as required.
  • Wildlife Management: Conduct wildlife observation counts, harassment, and deterrent activities to minimize the risk of wildlife-related incidents.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including aviation safety and security standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other airport teams, including air traffic control, ground handling, and customer service, to ensure seamless airport operations.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Aeronautical Radio Operator's Certificate, ARO/WSO Qualifications or experience, and a current state driver's license.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience: Previous experience in airport operations, aviation safety, or security management.
