Job Title: Education Leadership Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Education Leadership Specialist. This is a key role that will provide leadership in the development and review of curriculum, assessment, and standards support materials for Years 7–10.

The successful applicant will have a deep understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline, as well as experience in project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in the development and review of curriculum, assessment, and standards support materials for Years 7–10.
  • Oversee processes and deliverables associated with adopting and/or adapting the Australian Curriculum Version 9.0 for English Education (Years 7–10).
  • Organise, facilitate, and coordinate materials for staff across schools, regions, professional associations, and education sectors.
  • Develop documents collegially, with a focus on internal timeframes.
  • Support communication and collaborative processes between systems/sectors, schools and other stakeholder organisations.

Requirements:

  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or valid visa holder with relevant work rights.
  • A recognised qualification in teaching and current registration to teach in Western Australia.
  • A current Working with Children Check.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated high-level knowledge of curriculum and assessment in the context of the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline, the WACE, ATAR course examinations, performance monitoring and review.
  • Demonstrated high-order conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated substantial project and program management skills, including the ability to implement processes to facilitate monitoring, reporting and successful delivery and objectives in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in undertaking consultation, stakeholder engagement, collaboration and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership.
