Job Title:

Collections and Credit Control Specialist

Our team is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Collections and Credit Control Specialist to join our dynamic group. As a key member of our accounts receivable team, you will be responsible for managing customer invoices, tracking payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

About the Role:

  • Create and send timely invoices to customers in Xero, ensuring accurate and efficient payment processing.
  • Conduct regular reviews of dispatches to ensure all invoices have been advanced, liaising with management as needed.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Process customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances to minimize delays.
  • Manage worker's compensation claims and other insurance-related matters.
  • Operate the Square terminal to receive payments and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Perform reception duties, including answering phones, taking messages, and directing visitors.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable or bookkeeping roles.
  • Cert III or IV in Accounting from a reputable institution (preferred).

Desirable Skills:

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
