Procurement Role

Talented and ambitious professionals are sought to play a pivotal role in our procurement function. As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for sourcing and developing external supply partners to deliver strategic and commercially effective solutions.

Key responsibilities include diagnosing and validating sourcing opportunities, executing end-to-end strategic sourcing events from analysis to contract delivery. The successful candidate will have an affinity to Corporate Services, ITS or Property Services, but will operate as part of a shared pool of Strategic Sourcing resources working across each category as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosis, validation and maximisation of potential sourcing opportunities
  • Execution of a pipeline of strategic sourcing initiatives identified by Category/Vendor Managers
  • Analysis of current spend data and understanding of portfolio requirements for each strategic sourcing initiative
  • Liaison with Category/Vendor Managers to understand the broader category/vendor strategy
  • Definition of sourcing strategies to maximise leverage opportunities through creative and/or joint/co-operative solutions
  • Development of comprehensive RFI/RFQ/RFT/RFP documents including non-price elements
  • Management of tender processes including supplier clarification and process management
  • Support for negotiation strategies and fact-based approach to deliver value for the organisation
  • Development of transition and change management plans in partnership with Category/Vendor Managers

Requirements:

  • Proven strategic sourcing experience in commercial or government settings
  • Capability to successfully develop/execute sourcing strategies and tender processes
  • Strong contract development experience
  • Advanced stakeholder management, influencing skills and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Category/Vendor Managers/Procurement Analysts
  • High level of competency using Excel and Procurement Systems and sound analytical capabilities
