Key Role in Public Relations

This is an exciting opportunity for a media professional to join a high-achieving team in the arts sector.

As a key member of our PR team, you will work closely with colleagues to plan and implement publicity campaigns that contribute to delivering sales targets. You will also generate media coverage that raises the profile of our activities.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing and proofreading skills, knowledge of the media landscape in Australia, and 2-5 years' experience working on publicity campaigns, preferably within performing arts.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive publicity campaigns for productions
  • Writing and distributing media releases and other communications
  • Facilitating media interviews and photo shoots
  • Preparing and distributing compendiums of media coverage
  • Managing media ticketing and coordinating production photography

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with journalists, critics, editors, commentators, and others across all media
  • Monitoring media daily and maintaining an up-to-date media contact database
  • Providing a general support role to, and deputising for, the PR Manager as necessary
