Community Resilience Specialist

We are undertaking a significant transformation to deliver a customer-centric, unified and resilient national operation.
The core focus of this team is to build resilience within Australian communities, our critical sector partners, and across the Bureau.
This involves strengthening sector-wide capability across agencies, working with partners to equip, mobilise and integrate communities in preparation for, response to and recovery from disasters and emergencies.
Our specialist advice is provided through knowledge sharing, collaborative action and the development of strong relationships built on mutual trust and respect.
As a Community Engagement Officer, you will have exciting opportunities to contribute to community engagement planning, research, analysis, reporting, and implementation activities to support the development and delivery of national and regional resilience initiatives.
You will work closely with colleagues in Hazard Preparedness and Response to deeply understand the impact of severe weather events that affect the Australian community, and our key customers.
