**Job Description:**

We are seeking a seasoned security professional to strengthen our cyber resilience and protect critical healthcare infrastructure.

This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and continuously improving security operations across the organisation, with a focus on threat detection, incident response, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in cyber security, with experience analysing and responding to security threats.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring systems and tools to identify and respond to malicious activity, intrusions, and vulnerabilities.

  • Assisting with investigations into cyber incidents, including root cause analysis and recommending improvements.

  • Supporting penetration testing, security scans, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to security policies and frameworks.

  • Contributing to the development of security management processes, procedures, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Providing timely advice, support, and guidance to staff, IT teams, and service providers on cyber security risks and best practice.

  • Promoting security awareness across the organisation and supporting staff with phishing, scams, and technical security queries.

Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you will need:

  • Essential Skills:
  • A strong technical foundation in cyber security, with experience analysing and responding to security threats.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Defender, Sentinel), Cisco, and security monitoring tools and knowledge of Essential Eight and SOCI Act frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders.

  • Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP.

  • Experience working in a similar role within a healthcare organisation.
