Lead Plumber & Gas Fitter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumber & Gas Fitter Supervisor to lead our dynamic team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to take charge of the smooth operation of all plumbing and gas fitting systems across our luxury resort.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead the plumbing and gas fitting team, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance across all tasks.
  • Oversight of repairs, maintenance, and installations of plumbing and gas systems, prioritizing urgent issues to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensure all work meets high standards, maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory compliance, ensuring work meets local, state, and federal plumbing and gas fitting regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety initiatives, conduct toolbox talks, and mentor junior staff to enhance skills and foster a culture of safety and teamwork.
  • Availability for on-call duties and assist with emergency response efforts when required.

Requirements:

  • Essential: 5+ years of trade experience, Plumber/Gas Fitter qualifications, QBCC Queensland Type A Gas Fitter license (or ability to obtain), QLD Driver's Licence, and ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, gas installations, and safety protocols.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Reliable, flexible, and punctual with the ability to support operational shifts and on-call duties.
  • Desirable: Experience with maintenance management software and in resort/hospitality maintenance environments.
