Job Summary:

This role is a crucial part of our team, responsible for delivering high-quality coat finishes on vehicles. As a key member, you will work collaboratively to ensure all coats are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Mix and match paints according to the vehicle's specifications, taking care to prepare each one accurately before scheduling for coating.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive colour library, enabling seamless identification and matching of coat colours.
  • Thoroughly prep, prime, and paint vehicles as per job sheet requirements, following established supplier processes.
  • Buff and denib the finished coat to achieve a showroom shine.
  • Carefully handle all vehicles with attention to detail, ensuring safety and quality throughout the process.
  • Record any extra coat work required that wasn't initially quoted for.
  • Report any existing damage or subpar previous repairs to the production manager promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work bay and workshop areas.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to apprentices when necessary.

About You:

  • Hold a trade qualification as a Spray Painter.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' experience working as a trade qualified Spray Painter.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to working safely.
  • Display excellent communication skills.
  • Show high attention to detail.
  • Be able to work effectively and collaboratively within the team.
  • Meet strict deadlines with ease.
  • Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
  • Own necessary tools for fulfilling the role.
