Exciting Opportunity for an Industrial Painter in Wagerup, South West

Are you an experienced Industrial Painter or Blaster with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences? Are you seeking a role where your technical skills can truly shine? Look no further RCR Mining Technologies (RCRMT), a leading business unit within NRW Holdings, is seeking a talented Industrial Painter/Blaster to join our team at ALCOA Wagerup on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform surface preparation on steel or hard composition objects, ensuring the removal of all contamination and achieving the specified finish.
  • Apply paint or similar coatings using spraying or brushing techniques.
  • Review painting specifications and comply with the required standards.
  • Blast to profile tolerances and specifications.
  • Take precise measurements when measuring blast profile.
  • Maintain accurate records of painting thickness, including DFTs, paint reports, salt testing, etc., as necessary.
  • Manage inventory of materials, including paints and consumables, and notify the supervisor of any shortages.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of machines and equipment.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to apprentices and trades assistants.

Requirements:

  • Local residency in the Southwest region.
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Industrial Painting or Blasting OR relevant experience.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Work at Heights & Confined Space Tickets.
  • Dogging / Rigging certification (preferred but not essential).
  • Forklift Ticket (preferred but not essential).
  • Physical fitness for manual labour and ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a reliable work ethic.
