Stakeholder Engagement Lead

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology is investing in critical flood warning infrastructure to improve the nation's emergency response capacity. To achieve this, our team will acquire, upgrade and integrate local government-owned rain and river level gauges into our existing flood warning network across Australia.

This is a unique opportunity for you to contribute to the development and delivery of key initiatives within the Flood Warning Infrastructure Network (FWIN) Program. As Stakeholder Engagement Lead, you will build strong relationships with local councils and governments, identifying high-priority assets for remediation and on-going maintenance.

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead communications and engagement with key stakeholders, ensuring that the FWIN program is aware of and sensitive to local needs and sentiment while meeting program delivery goals. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing effective stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Building strong relationships with local councils and governments
  • Identifying high-priority assets for remediation and on-going maintenance
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver program objectives
