Role overview

BUSSQ is looking for an energetic and driven Manager Stakeholder Relationships to join our team to help us grow our membership and increase Funds Under Management (FUM). This exciting opportunity is based out of Brisbane, where you'll be utilising relationships to promote BUSSQ value and benefits to stakeholders, key employers and industry associations.

As the Manager Stakeholder Relationships, you will take on a pivotal role in our success story by being at the forefront of generating new growth opportunities while nurturing existing stakeholder and key employer relationships. Working closely with our member engagement team, you'll maximise opportunities through strategic promotion of BUSSQ and cross-selling initiatives for financial advice.

With your keen understanding of stakeholder needs you will work in proposing tailored solutions that align with their objectives, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. Your proactive approach will involve resolving any issues promptly, maintaining trust, and fostering long-term partnerships. You will serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, facilitating seamless communication between the member engagement team and external stakeholders.

In addition to your stakeholder-focused responsibilities, you'll collaborate with various departments, to uphold the highest standards of service quality and delivery. You will be responsible for contract negotiation, execution and contract term obligations monitoring with stakeholder sponsors in line with legislative requirement of Prudential Standard SPS 515. Your meticulous attention to detail will be instrumental in preparing business cases and reports for both internal and external stakeholders, contributing to our collective success.

As the Manager Stakeholder Relationship, you'll play a key role in:

  • Identifying new opportunities to contribute to membership growth and retention within an assigned portfolio of stakeholders and employers.
  • Delivering engaging workplace services, including group presentations, workshops, and one-on-one meeting, to increase retention and convert growth opportunities.
  • Contributing to the development of growth and retention strategies in collaboration with the member engagement team.
  • Attending member, fund and stakeholder events at employer sites/stakeholders or key locations within Queensland and presenting relevant content to audiences.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Minimum 5-7 years in a similar role, preferably within the financial services industry with an emphasis on superannuation, financial advice, and relationship management.
  • Superannuation product and construction industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrated management, contract negotiation and facilitation skills.
  • Proven business development skills to execution, commercial acumen and financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly and work some hours outside of business hours.
  • Previous customer service experience with a strong interest in working with a pre-and post-retiree membership base.
  • An ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally.
  • A positive and professional attitude and work well in team situations, with a genuine commitment to people and culture.
  • An understanding of the superannuation industry at a legislative, product and provider level.
  • A strong sense of professionalism and a member-centric approach.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while working to and exceeding outcome targets.
  • A highly motivated and organised work discipline, multi-tasking and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite and be able to utilise data for effective decision making.
  • An adaptable approach and fit with the culture of BUSSQ.

Qualifications:

  • RG146 Superannuation
  • Advanced Diploma of Financial Services
  • JP qualification is highly desirable.
