Workforce Relations Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of a dynamic team, where you will offer expert advice on workforce relations issues.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing guidance to senior managers and clients on workforce relations matters. This includes leading negotiations in enterprise bargaining and employment conditions, as well as representing the organization in relevant tribunals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and consultancy services on workforce relations issues
  • Develop and implement operational strategies for delivering high-quality human resource management services
  • Establish networks and liaise with external bodies to promote and monitor contemporary human resource management issues
  • Undertake ongoing research and analysis of contemporary human resource practices and policies

The ideal candidate will have the following key capabilities:

  • Demonstrate ability to live core values: safety first, working together, focusing on customers, showing initiative, and taking responsibility
  • Proven ability to provide high-level advice and develop operational strategies for human resource management services
  • Excellent knowledge and comprehensive experience in delivery of contemporary human resource services

Highly desirable requirements include:

  • Demonstrated knowledge in employment law, particularly Queensland industrial framework and/or public sector
  • Relevant experience in Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, and/or Human Resources
  • Experience in, or ability to quickly gain experience in, advocacy in industrial tribunals such as the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, Fair Work Commission, or Queensland or Australian Human Rights Commission
