We operate a purpose-built Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care facility with cutting-edge equipment and a dedicated team of skilled professionals who deliver exceptional patient care.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Animal Care Assistants to join our team in a part-time or casual capacity.

About You

  • Certificate II or III in Animal Studies is preferred but not essential, as we focus on your potential and willingness to learn.
  • You must have a strong work ethic and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
  • You should be confident and proactive, with the ability to work autonomously while leveraging your team's expertise when needed.
  • Our ideal candidate can effectively follow instructions, multitask, and navigate a fast-paced environment with ease.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • You should possess exemplary organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Flexibility is key, as you will be required to work weekends and public holidays.
  • A passion for learning and a desire to develop your skills will serve you well in this dynamic environment.

The Role

This position involves general Kennel Assistant duties, including assisting nurses with:

  • Maintenance and hygiene of the facility
  • Feeding, exercising, and providing TLC for patients
  • Caring for wildlife
  • Gentle restraint of patients for treatments
  • Responding to phone inquiries
  • Stock handling
  • General hospital tasks
