Business Development Specialist

The role of Business Development Specialist is a crucial part in driving our business forward. We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our team in Canberra.

About the Role

This role involves building professional relationships with clients, managing lending and product requests, performing credit analysis, providing business solutions and managing customer portfolio risk and compliance.

  • Develop strategic partnerships with business partners
  • Effectively manage lending and product requests for small business customers
  • Conduct thorough credit assessments and approve lending requests within authority limits
  • Deliver holistic business solutions to clients and those newly introduced
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with customer portfolios
  • Collaborate with local banking teams to support business customers

Key performance indicators will be aligned to ensure optimal effectiveness.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated experience in lending roles
  • Strong track record in managing customer relationships and credit processes
  • Sound financial and business acumen
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, critical thinking and negotiation skills

A tertiary qualification in business is highly desirable.
