As a General Practitioner, you will be working in remote communities across the Northern Territory, providing treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
Job Description- Deliver primary healthcare services to patients in remote communities, including general health checks, chronic disease management, and mental health support.
- Collaborate with local healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients, including referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote health education and awareness among remote communities.
- Fellowship with either Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
- Minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a general practitioner within the past 12 months.
- Evidence of completion of current and previous triennium requirements and active participation in continuing education recognised by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Quality Assurance and Continuous Professional Development (RACGP QA & CPD) or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine-Professional Development Program (ACRRM PDP).
- Evidence of current professional indemnity insurance as a General Practitioner.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Fully paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered by us.
- Cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare.
