Medical Practitioner for Remote Communities

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide culturally safe and high-quality healthcare services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote Northern Territory communities.
We are seeking experienced General Practitioners with a fellowship from either the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, and a minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience within the past 12 months.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients in remote clinics.
- Collaborate with local healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- A fellowship from either the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
- Minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience as a General Practitioner within the past 12 months.
- Evidence of completion of current and previous triennium requirements and active participation in continuing education recognised by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Quality Assurance and Continuous Professional Development or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine-Professional Development Program.
- Evidence of current professional indemnity insurance as a General Practitioner.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Fully paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered.
- Cultural orientation and 24/7 support to aid transition into remote healthcare.
- Free CPD-accredited eLearning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
