About this Role:
We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team in Port Kembla. This role is part of our Processing and Logistics Finance team, responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing and analysis of freight transactions.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with our logistics team to ensure efficient financial operations. You will also play a key role in managing relationships with our logistics carriers and internal stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain deeper insight into the industry, as you will become familiar with our full portfolio of products manufactured at the steelworks. As you grow in the role, you will build a solid understanding of our global customer base and their unique requirements.
The position offers a stable workflow, but also room for development. For those eager to progress, there is potential to expand into financial reporting and project-based work.
About You:
We are looking for someone who has exceptional attention to detail and is customer-focused with the ability to build strong relationships. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous accounts experience or have recently completed/final year student in undergraduate accounting and finance or similar qualification
- Demonstrated operational engagement with strong MS Excel experience in transactional processes
- The ability to problem-solving by identifying root cause and develop resolutions
- A proactive approach in building constructive and effective relationships
