Job Title: Event Coordinator

The Event Coordinator will oversee and manage comprehensive project plans to ensure timely delivery of all event milestones. This role requires a high level of analytical and conceptual thinking, as well as strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales and exhibition strategies to drive profitability by reducing costs and increasing turnover, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Manage event budgets, including financial reporting and accurate ongoing forecasting.
  • Collaborate with operations and sales teams to finalise floor plans for event and exhibition layout and design.
  • Maximise the exhibitor experience by fostering a high level of customer service and effective use of systems and processes.
  • Work with the Sales Manager and General Manager to scope exhibitors for potential sponsor and partner opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relevant industry, agent, and media networks.
  • Provide high-level customer service and coordination during event periods.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience (minimum 3-5 years) across major events and sales processes.
  • Proven track record in a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, including well-developed writing skills.
  • Excellent sales, negotiations, and commercial skills.
  • High level of analytical and conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
