Senior Director - Electricity Operations Management

The Senior Director - Electricity Operations Management will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day performance and operation of electricity assets connected to the National Electricity Market (NEM) and Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM).

This role includes managing a diverse portfolio of high-value assets across multiple states, supported by a national team of engineers, technicians, and operational staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of operational strategies to ensure safe and reliable electricity supply
  • Manage asset planning, maintenance programs, outage management, and emergency response coordination
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, environmental, and technical standards
  • Develop and maintain key external relationships with market operators, regulators, and third-party contractors
  • Oversee the transformation of operational processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with significant experience in power systems, electricity transmission, or large-scale renewables. You should have a deep understanding of asset-intensive environments, operational risk, and regulated frameworks.

You must have a strong track record in leading technical and operational teams, as well as expertise in power systems, grid management, and energy infrastructure operations.
