Infrastructure Design Director

Our client is a leading government entity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, focused on developing infrastructure for various assets and contributing to the Vision 2030.
Job Description- Lead the identification and implementation of sustainable and cost-effective design solutions for infrastructure and public realm projects, ensuring compliance with project schedules and milestones.
- Supervise and facilitate design activities, providing proactive support to identify and address relevant issues, and ensuring the smooth resolution of challenges.
- Conduct on-site visits to provide technical support to project teams during construction, addressing constructability and engineering issues effectively.
- Supervise the duration of the design review cycle, evaluating the time taken to review design submittals from third-party consultants, and aiming to enhance the overall efficiency of the design review process.
- Monitor compliance with project design briefs, tracking deviations and design change orders on a monthly basis.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate design goals into overall project plans, resulting in cohesive and well-aligned project outcomes.
- Direct the infrastructure tendering process.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited University. Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited University is preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification is required. 18+ years of professional experience in Infrastructure and Public Realm Design in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in a development organization. A proven track record of dynamic and successful leadership in Infrastructure and Public Realm Design. Comprehensive working knowledge of governing bodies, committees, and regulatory organizations for the development sector within KSA.
