Logistics Manager Role

The Logistics Manager is a newly created position responsible for providing performance insights and analytical reports to internal stakeholders. The primary objective of this role is to drive business performance in the Transport space.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyse transport activities by site, location to location, state and country costs
  • Deliver clear and concise reporting in line with objectives and KPIs
  • Select transport providers based on performance and effectiveness
  • Negotiate contracts with and manage transport providers to ensure they meet performance, cost, time and service level agreements
  • Continuously evaluate provider performance and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Collaborate with providers to streamline operations, reduce lead times, and improve supply chain efficiency

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or supply chain (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft products and other information systems
  • Knowledge of logistics practices and legislation
  • Understanding of financial accounting principles
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and data maximisation
  • Pronto experience (advantageous)
  • SOX Compliance knowledge (advantageous)
