Logistics Expert

As a Logistics Expert, you will oversee the overall supply chain capabilities to ensure a seamless operation of end-to-end supply chain procedures.

About the Role:
  • Develop scalable and high-performance solutions using industry-standard technologies.
  • Lead logistics efforts to ensure smooth transactions across teams, systems, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that align with business goals.
  • Define and continuously update architecture to support evolving business objectives.
  • Monitor and minimize technical defects to maintain scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with the Supply Chain team and across the broader business.
  • Plan and analyse capabilities to ensure the development and delivery of cost-effective products.
  • Provide expertise in logistics to ensure system designs meet performance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure for better efficiency, cost savings, and safety.
  • Offer engineering support for distribution centre operations, including inventory control, facility layout, flow optimisation, and data analysis.
  • Use logistics modelling tools to design efficient warehouse, transportation, and supply chain solutions.
  • Participate in the implementation and integration of decision-support systems at logistics sites.
  • Provide logistical technology support to internal teams and stakeholders to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage transportation of raw materials and finished goods, vendor selection, negotiations, and inventory control.
  • Develop logistics plans to improve the distribution of goods and supplies.
About You:
  • You are an experienced leader within a DC environment with a background in operations.
  • You have a strong Lean or Continuous improvement background.
  • You have exposure to systems such as WMS, ERP, and/or core platform.
  • You possess high analytical and problem-solving experience within an automated environment.
  • You have strong systems and inventory understanding with a DC environment.
  • You can demonstrate ability to work with new automated technology and systems.
  • You have proven change and project management skills.
  • You have experience in DC diligence, with experience conducting projects desirable.
  • You hold Supply Chain tertiary qualifications highly desired.
  • You have 5 years' of experience as a Solution Architect or similar Supply Chain role.
