We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our team and provide exceptional care to our patients.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity for a dedicated mental health professional to make a meaningful impact in a supportive environment. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering top-quality evidence-based mental health services to patients, including risk assessments, crisis intervention, case formulation, medication management, and additional support services as needed.
You will receive robust support for crisis management, risk assessment, and risk management planning from both our multidisciplinary team and the Senior Mental Health team for your region.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality mental health services to patients
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care
- Participate in ongoing professional development and education
- A current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia with AHPRA
- Credentialing with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) or a minimum qualification of Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
- At least 2 years' full-time equivalent post-graduate work experience in mental health, encompassing comprehensive assessments and delivery of evidence-based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as per the Medicare Schedule in the last 5 years
- A current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification
- Familiarity with relevant State/Territory policies, national standards, and the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy preferred
- Recent engagement in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities, with a minimum of 10 hours directly related to mental health, aligned with AHPRA guidelines
