Job Overview

This role presents an exciting opportunity to develop and implement a community-focused research strategy in music and health. You will lead initiatives that connect new communities with the Conservatorium, leveraging programs, short courses, and professional development to drive positive impact.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive research strategy that addresses community needs and fosters collaboration between stakeholders.
  • Design and deliver engagement initiatives that promote social cohesion, inclusivity, and cultural responsiveness.
  • Cultivate partnerships with First Nations communities, health professionals, educators, and regional partners to amplify the benefits of music and arts interventions.
  • Evaluate and document the effectiveness of music-based initiatives in creating healthier, more connected communities.
About the Ideal Candidate

You are a seasoned or emerging leader in music (or related fields), equipped to bridge research, practice, and community engagement. Your expertise may have been established through academic publications, non-traditional research outputs, innovative projects, or impactful partnerships.

Your Skills and Qualifications
  • A doctoral qualification in music or a related field, with a strong focus on community-engaged scholarship.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing engaging learning experiences and fostering collaborative environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with a commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive practice.
  • The ability to set priorities, foster collaborations, and generate measurable outcomes.
