Delivery Operations Specialist

The Logistics Manager will play a pivotal role in facilitating grocery deliveries, ensuring that drivers and operations staff surpass standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage labour resources to meet the day-to-day service level targets and exceed customer expectations.
- Coordinate the dispatch of trucks, drivers, and shipments to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups.
- Champion safety and ensure all drivers and operational staff follow Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and site safety requirements.
- Drive business growth by promoting a customer-first mindset and ensuring daily operations maximise profitability through effective goal-setting and achievement.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a similar role within the Transport/Logistics industry.
- A positive attitude and appetite for continuous learning and development.
- Demonstrated experience with Operations Management, Co-ordination, Fatigue Management desirable but not essential.
- An analytical mind-set – strong ability to problem-solve and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal.
- Computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.
