Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Care Manager to join our exceptional team of care professionals. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the clinical excellence of our residential aged care home, Marcus Loane House.

Your primary focus will be on overseeing the activities of our clinical team, ensuring that our residents' clinical and health outcomes are met and understood. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all Anglicare policies, procedures, and practices are followed, and that clinical standards are continually improved.

To be successful in this role, you will have solid clinical experience, proven leadership capabilities, and a true passion for enhancing the life and wellbeing of residents. You will be a strong problem solver, team-oriented, and highly organized, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish comprehensive communication between the multidisciplinary team within the facility and other relevant staff.
  • Work closely with residents' families, ensuring they are fully informed about clinical issues relating to their relative.
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the team through mentoring staff and sharing clinical knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as Care Manager or senior Registered Nurse within Aged care.
  • A 'hands on' approach to ensuring quality clinical care.
  • The ability to supervise, delegate, and work as part of a team.
  • A commitment to the Christian values of Anglicare.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aged care accreditation standards.
  • Post graduate study in relevant discipline/s (geriatrics, dementia, palliative care) highly desirable.
