Senior Surgical Nurse Position

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse to join our Ambulatory and Outpatient preadmission team in a permanent part-time role.
The successful candidate will work 5 days per fortnight (20 hours per week) and provide exceptional individualized care to patients. They will ensure that pre-operative patients receive comprehensive assessments, education, and referrals for optimal surgical pathways.
This role requires the ability to demonstrate commitment to quality clinical care, maintain high standards of nursing practice, and possess excellent knowledge and assessment skills in surgical nursing.
Responsibilities- Provide preoperative patient assessments and education
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize surgical pathways
- Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration with 2+ years' experience in a surgical nursing environment
- Previous preadmission or endoscopy experience is advantageous
- Clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing practice
- Excellent knowledge and assessment skills in surgical nursing
